On September 1, Bob Masterson was selected as the incoming President and CEO for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC).
Bob has worked with CIAC for the past five years as Vice-President, Responsible Care®. In July of this year, he assumed the role of Vice-President, Responsible Care®, Environment and Health. A seasoned advocate of the chemistry industry, Bob brings more than 15 years of industry association leadership experience gained while working on regulatory and public policy issues at the federal and provincial levels for the Cement Association of Canada, and as a consultant on environment and sustainability governance with a number of national and international trade associations in the energy, mining and forest products sectors. Bob holds a Masters of Public Administration from Carleton University and an Engineering Mathematics degree from Queens University.
On behalf of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC), and its Alberta member-companies, I congratulate Premier designate Rachel Notley and newly elected MLAs on their election victory.
We look forward to the opportunity of working with the new government to continue to enhance the role and contribution of the chemistry industry to Alberta’s economic development and prosperity.
